Cancellation policy templates
Three policies, pick one
The cancellation-policy field is where most artists freeze during onboarding: the wording matters, but the structure is well-established. Three drop-in templates, pick the one that fits where you are today. You can change it any time.
The neighborly
permissiveFor a building-trust phase or a small repeat-client book where you'd rather forgive than chase.
Window
12h
No-show fee
no automatic fee
Best for
New artists, founding-customer cohort, hyper-local solo book.
Hi! Plans change: we get it. We just ask for 12 hours notice so we can offer your spot to someone else.
If you can't make it, please cancel or reschedule through the booking confirmation link, or reply to this thread.
For deposits: if you paid one, we refund it as long as you cancel at least 12 hours out. Same-day cancellations forfeit the deposit, but we don't charge a separate no-show fee.
If something genuinely urgent comes up (illness, family emergency, weather), text us first: we'll work it out. Trust over rules, always. The professional
balancedFor artists with consistent demand who want to protect calendar density without souring relationships.
Window
24h
No-show fee
50% of service price for no-shows
Best for
Established solo artists, mobile + studio mix, high-deposit services.
Cancellation policy
We need 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Inside that window, the deposit is forfeited.
If you don't show up to your appointment and we don't hear from you, we'll charge 50% of the service total to the card on file. This isn't punishment: it covers the slot we held and turned away other bookings for.
Need to reschedule for a real reason (illness, weather, work travel)? Just text us: we don't charge a no-show fee when there's been a real attempt to communicate.
Deposits roll over to a rescheduled appointment automatically when you reschedule before the 24-hour window. The booked-out
strictFor artists who are routinely booked weeks out where every no-show is a real revenue hit and most clients respect the structure.
Window
48h
No-show fee
100% of service price for no-shows; 50% inside the 48h window
Best for
Senior artists, bridal-heavy books, premium pricing tier, multi-month waitlists.
Cancellation policy
48 hours notice required for any cancellation or reschedule. This isn't a hassle: it's how I keep the calendar workable for everyone.
Inside the 48-hour window: 50% of the service total is charged to the card on file.
No-show: 100% of the service total is charged.
Deposits are non-refundable inside 48 hours regardless of reason. They DO transfer to a rescheduled appointment if you reschedule with at least 48 hours notice.
Severe weather or genuine family emergencies: text me first. I'll always work in good faith with someone who's communicating.
By booking, you agree to these terms. I appreciate it; this is how I'm able to give every single client my full focus during their appointment.Where to paste
Paste your chosen policy into Settings → Cancellation policy. The text shows on every booking confirmation, the customer’s manage-booking page, and the AI agents that read /api/mcp/{tenant}/policies.
