Switching
From Schedulicity to goldenhour.
Schedulicity is a long-running ($19.99–$79.99/mo) scheduling platform with a reputation for stability. Many artists stay because it works: but it hasn't shipped meaningful new features in years. If you want active development + mobile-first tooling + AI, goldenhour is the move.
Why artists make the switch
What you'll get here.
Active development
We ship weekly. Schedulicity's last meaningful feature drop was years ago. The active /changelog shows the cadence: if it ever goes quiet you'll see it.
Custom domain (book.yourbrand.com) included
Schedulicity's URLs are schedulicity.com/<your-business>. We provision CNAME-based custom domains with TLS in the base subscription.
Mobile-first wedges
Travel zones, GPS check-in, masked-number SMS chat, in-home setup checklist gating mobile bookings, drive-buffer minutes. Schedulicity supports mobile artists but lightly.
AI features + automation tier included
Growth analyst, intake TL;DR, voice notes, auto-tag, smart per-client rebook cadence, win-back flows. None of these are Schedulicity features.
Where they win today
What you'd give up.
Honest list. If any of these are deal-breakers, stay on Schedulicity: we'd rather you be on the right tool for you than churn from us in 30 days.
Stability + long-running brand recognition
Schedulicity has been around for 15+ years. Customers who've booked you through Schedulicity recognize the URL. If brand familiarity with end-customers is a major factor, the switch carries some friction.
How to export from Schedulicity
Pull your data out.
- Sign into Schedulicity's web dashboard at schedulicity.com.
- Top menu → Customers → "Export List" → CSV. Email arrives in a minute.
- Top menu → Reports → "Appointment History" → set last 12 months → "Export" → CSV.
- Schedulicity has no built-in CSV export for the service catalog: screenshot the table from Settings → Services. We recreate from screenshots, usually <10 minutes.
- If you've configured intake forms, screenshot each one. Schedulicity exports PDF where possible.
- Email all files to support@goldenhourhq.com with subject "Schedulicity migration": same-day ingest in most cases.
Stuck on any step? Email support@goldenhourhq.com. We've done Schedulicityexports before: happy to screen-share through the part that's blocking you.
What we import
Clean ingest.
- Client list: name, phone, email, birthday, notes, VIP/regular flag
- Appointment history: date, service, status, price
- Service catalog (from screenshot)
- Intake questions (from PDF)
- Booking notes + parking instructions
- Cancellation + no-show history
What needs reconfiguring
Five-minute jobs.
Stuff that can't come over via CSV: usually because each platform structures it differently. We walk through each on the setup call (or via email).
- Stripe Connect: Schedulicity uses its own integrated processor. Customers re-enter cards on first booking through goldenhour.
- Booking page slug: claim a handle on goldenhourhq.com or point a custom domain CNAME at us.
- Existing customer URLs: Schedulicity's per-business URLs are external links you might have shared on social. Update Instagram bio, Google My Business, etc. once you've claimed the new URL.
- Promo codes / packages: Schedulicity's promo configs don't export. Recreate in our promo-codes + packages tools post-import.
The money side
What you'll save.
- Subscription: Schedulicity $19.99–$79.99/mo depending on tier and add-ons → goldenhour $19.99/mo (founding) or $39.99/mo (standard). At the higher Schedulicity tiers the savings are substantial.
- No platform commission either way: both are flat-fee.
- Stripe processing on goldenhour: 2.9% + 30¢ online (Stripe passthrough). Schedulicity's integrated processor has comparable rates; check your last 3 invoices for the apples-to-apples comparison.
